CORONA VIRUS – WE NEED TO PROTECT OURSELVES- Dr Babatunde Ajibade

In the past few weeks we have seen an increasing spread of COVID-19, also known as Corona Virus, to a pandemic level. Prior to this time, it seemed to be a distant phenomenon but recently, it has come to our doorsteps with more and more peope testing positive to the virus in Nigeria.

At this time, I urge us all to be extra careful, in addition to all the steps already being taken to stop the spread of the virus, I urge us all to be even more careful than ever. Let us avoid all non-essential travel and meetings. Social distancing has been advised as an effective means of ending the spread, in addition to good sanitation.

Our lives are much more important than the travels and meetings. The lives of members of our families are much more important than whatever enjoyment or relief we may get from the travels and meetings.

I have asked us before to do better. To do that, we have to be alive. Let’s stay alive. Stop the spread of Corona Virus.
