The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Yenagoa Branch under the Leadership of Felix Okorotie, Esq., earlier today, commenced the disbursement of financial palliatives to interested and deserving Members to flatten the curve the Covid-19 pandemic has posed following the skeletal operation of Courts and the inhibitions placed on other legitimate avenues of earning income.

The exercise which holds in the NBA Yenagoa Secretariat, emphasized social distancing, Hands’ washing/sanitizing in a mature, decorous, convivial, confidential and transparent atmosphere under the coordination of the Ben Braye – led 6-WiseMan Committee.

The Branch Chairman, Felix Okorotie, Esq. who commended his Executive Committee and the Palliatives’ Implementation Committee Members for the planning/execution heartily appreciates:

The Chairman assured all Members that their welfare and well-being shall always be a topmost priority of his Administration, expressing optimism that this ‘Cup’ shall soon pass for Members to resume full-scale legal practice and operation of legitimate Businesses.

A press Statement signed by the Association’s Publicity Secretary, Barrister Nelson Abali states that the Nigerian Bar Association Yenagoa Branch had earlier in the month led select Professional bodies in the State to procure and distribute Hand Santizers to Motor Parks, Markets, Detention Centres, Hospitals and Offices aside recently approving the release of welfare packages to Branch Members on account of their Marriage ceremonies, Health Conditions and related issues.
