DISSOLUTION OF ELECTION COMMITTEE AND CONSTITUTION OF CARETAKER COMMITTEE FOR BENIN BRANCH

 
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) 2020 Branch Elections Appeals Panel (Western Zone) considered an appeal on the constitution of the Branch Election Committee and reached the decision that the Benin Branch Election Committee constituted on was in contravention of Article 10 (3) of the Uniform Bye-Laws for Branches and recommendation that the said Election Committee be disbanded/dissolved.
 
The said recommendation is accepted and following the expiration of the tenure of the Executive Committee of Benin Branch of the NBA on 15th June, 2020 the President, Paul Usoro, SAN has constituted a Caretaker Committee to handle the affairs of the Branch in line with Article 11 of the Uniform Bye-Laws for Branches for a period of three (3) months.

The Caretaker Committee may co-opt such members as it deems necessary. The Committee is composed of the following: 
 
Solomon Odiase, Esq.        
R. O. Isenalumhe, Esq.                   
Ede Asenoguan, Esq.                     

Members of the Branch are advised to cooperate with the Caretaker committee as it pilots in the interim, the affairs of the Branch.
