Dear Distinguished Learned Colleagues,

I bring you greetings from my heart and pray God to shield you from any plague going round. Please compliment God’s grace upon your life by staying safe.

You agree with me that we are in unusual times and we must adapt to the new normal or risk sinking with the old ways. Physical contacts are discouraged nowadays and the effect of the global pandemic is affecting everybody, more particularly the young lawyers.

I therefore took the issue of this year’s NBA elections very seriously more than I have ever done in more than my over ten years at the Bar.

We need a man who is internet savvy and IT compliant to be our General Secretary because most meetings are going virtual and E-Innovation is the new normal. We need a man who also has the interest of young lawyers at heart.

After perusing the credentials of the persons lined up for the position of NBA General Secretary 2020, I realized that one of them stands out and has shown considerably greater interest in the welfare of young lawyers. He also did deploy ICT in a proficient manner while he served as NBA 1st Assistant General Secretary and as NBA Rep. on the CAC board in recent past. This is why I will be voting for no other than Okey Leo Ohagba as the next General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association in the forthcoming elections.

Okey is very innovative, tech savvy and passionate about positive change. He is the best to man the Secretariat at this critical time. Please let us support him to deliver IBA model Secretariat.
