The African Bar Association (AFBA) Young Lawyers Forum, Nigeria set to hold its Maiden Conference

The African Bar Association (AfBA), Young Lawyers Forum, Nigeria is billed to hold its Maiden Conference from the 27th to 29th of January, 2021.

The conference which would be held virtually has as its theme: “THE NEW NORMAL: EVOLUTION OF THE AFRICAN YOUNG LAWYER”, and promises to be a knowledge sharing and imparting conference with sessions on Public Interest Litigation and Practice; Law as a Business; Mentorship and Career Growth; AFCTA Implementation; The Legal Profession and Women and Emerging Areas of Law.
The above sub-topics would see discussions bothering on various areas of law such as Legal Drafting and interest in Law Making; Earning a Decent Living as a Public Interest Lawyer; Dealing with Gender Based Discrimination and abuse; Financial Technology, Intellectual Property amongst others.
The Director of Kenya Law School, Professor Patrick Lumumba is scheduled to give the Conference Keynote address. Other seasoned speakers and panelists include J. B. Daudu SAN, Lucius Nwosu SAN, J. S. Okutepa SAN, Seni Adio SAN, O.M Atoyebi SAN, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, Chukwuka Ikwuazom SAN, Mrs. Joyce Oduah FICMC, Somina Johnbull, Esq, Inemesit Dike, Isaiah Bozimo , Anne Agi and a host of other seasoned speakers.
