Funke Adekoya,Funmi Oluyede ,Mfon Usoro,Efe Etomi,Abimbola Akeredolu,Theodora Kio Lawson,Joyce Oduah make Courtroom Mail 100 African women Lawyers 2021

Ashenafi Meaza the founder of Ethiopian Women Association and the lawyer behind the movie “Dufret” is the cover personality in Courtroom Mail 100 African Lawyers 2021.

Courtroom Mail in the past four years has been honouring distinguished African women Lawyers on International women’s day. Starting from 5 lawyers when it first started, it honoured 62 today.
The list cuts across lawyers from different African Countries falling in different categories of Super Heroes,Heroes, Influencers and disruptors.

The list starts with Ashenafi Meaza who serves at Ethiopian apex Court to Athaliah Molokomme who became the first Attorney General of Botswana.

Aloysia Cyanzayire a Supreme Court Judge in Rwanda and Fatou Bensouda the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court were listed.
Funke Adekoya, Funke Aboyade, Mfon Usoro, Dorothy Ufot, Funmi Oluyede,Abimbola Akeredolu,Joyce Oduah,Efe Etomi are top Nigerian female Lawyers that made the list.
Linda Kasonde of Chapter one Foundation, Zambia, Theodora Kio Lawson, Maria Mbeneka and many other women made the list.
According to Courtroom Mail,the purpose of the list is to inspire and motivate younger lawyers in their endeavours around the practice,writing,teaching and service of law.
Many other younger generation of lawyers were also listed for different reasons mainly for their hard work in positively disrupting the profession or influencing the course of events within the profession.
