All roads lead to the Royal Ranch, Ayede Ogbese, Ondo State on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 as HRH Olori Olufunmilayo Oluyede (wife of recently-installed Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, HRM Oba Ajibola Oluyede) launches the Ayede Ogbese 1MT (One-Million Teachers) Training Scheme.
The programme, a laudable teachers’ empowerment global initiative is to be implemented in partnership with two of Olori Oluyede’s current global affiliates, namely the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) North America where she serves as Regional Vice President/FIDA USA Country President and the International Alliance of Women where she is engaged as Secretary-General.
Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to creating sustainable development. For quality education to be provided to the children of impoverished families, investment is needed in educational scholarships, teacher training workshops, school building and improvement of water and electricity access to schools. (United Nations).
The 1 Million Teachers (1MT) Training Scheme addresses two out of these elements – effective teaching and educational leadership – especially in the most deprived regions of the world.
The programme is specially designed to enhance teachers skills and motivation in accordance with global best practices -attracting new young teachers to the profession, providing them with a solid foundation of basic subjects and pedagogical knowledge, ongoing professional development with effective mechanisms in place to mentor, support, and motivate them, while simultaneously training and motivating existing teachers to increase their professional capacity and heighten the learning outcomes of their students.
Ultimately, the target is a critical mass of highly competent and enterprising education changemakers who will help provide the much-needed educational advancement in the community.
HRM Oba Ajibola Oluyede was on 19th December, 2021 presented with his staff of office and crowned as the Alayede of Ayede-Ogbese, IseOluwa II in a memorable, magnificent 3-day ceremony attended by the crème de la crème globally.
With the 1MT Training Scheme and other royal initiatives unfolding, Ayede Ogbese is no doubt raring to go… as it opens up to global influences and attendant progression under the realm of this dynamic 21st Century monarch and his gorgeous, influential, world-renowned queen.
