Aspirant inaugurates mobilisation team

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Adegboyega Adegoke, who is aspiring to contest for Oyo South Senatorial seat in 2023, has begun grassroots mobilisation.

A contact and mobilisation team to make his ambition a reality has just been formed.

Adegoke said the team’s mandate is to mobilise stakeholders and party members in the nine local governments, to secure the ticket and win the election.

Councils in Oyo South are Ibadan North, Ibadan North East, Ibadan North West, Ibadan South East, Ibadan South West, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North and Ido.

Adegoke, who addressed team members at NIHORT area in Ibadan, venue of the inauguration,said the move was to start consultation and mobilisation to secure the nod of stakeholders and become the candidate of APC for Oyo South.

The aspirant, who is chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM and Aare-Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland, said his aspiration was borne out of his zeal to serve the people.

Team Coordinator Prince Adebobola Adegbuyi hoped Adegoke would win the primaries and general election.

He said: “Adegoke is the only aspirant to watch out for. Some of the other aspirants have represented the party before in one capacity or the other. People have already seen the stuff they are made of.

“This man is an industrialist, a business mogul. His ability is not in doubt. He has been helping the less privileged, widows and youths, before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. He is the best man to occupy Oyo South Senatorial seat.”
