I have painstakingly perused the manifestos and blue prints of the various aspirants for the position of NBA General Secretary. Much as they are replete with noble gestures and innovations, you will agree that manifestos alone cannot instill the desired change in our secretariat.
What is required is the dexterity of purpose to ignite the sought-after headway.
I have known Okey Leo Ohagba for many years as hardworking and diligent. I was with him all through the 2018 Annual General Conference of the NBA held in Abuja and can vouch for his industry as an Assitant Secretary (as he then was).
Okey is not only hardworking and diligent, but a mixture of courage and a team player. He represents the bridge between the young and old in the legal profession. His penchant for professional discipline and etiquette is unyielding. He is an ardent promoter of Rule of Law and social justice. He is dogged and resilient in achieving goals. I remember vividly his contributions and the courage mustard in enforcing the decision of NEC when the judiciary was on trial. Okey was very active in defending NEC resolution against the many ills that threatened the legal profession. We were molested, but we stood firm for the love of the BAR. This I believe is the code Okey would instill into the system.
Gentlemen, for these and many other reasons, I will vote for Okey Leo Ohagba as the next General Secretary of NBA. I commend you to join me and do same. He is our best foot forward, and his passion for service is legendary.
OKEY IS OK
